Terms of Use
The agreement between you and Gnomon LLC.
These terms are the agreement between you and Gnomon LLC ("we", "us") for the QRMapper website, the QRMapper iOS app and the short links we serve at qrmap.cc. By creating an account you accept them.
Your account
You need an account to create QR codes. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@qrmapper.com if you think someone else has access to it.
One person or organisation per account. Business and Enterprise plans include collaborator seats; share access through those rather than by sharing a password.
What you may not point a code at
You are responsible for every destination you set. Do not use QRMapper to point a code at anything that:
- breaks the law, or infringes someone else's rights
- distributes malware, or impersonates another person or brand to deceive people
- misleads people about where the code will take them — for example, printing a code on a payment terminal or public notice that sends people somewhere they would not expect
Because a QRMapper code is dynamic, changing its destination changes what every printed copy does. That is the point of the product, and it is also why misuse is serious. We may disable a code or an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
Plans and payment
The Free plan is free and has no time limit. Paid plans are subscriptions.
On the web, payment is processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew each month or year until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from Dashboard → Manage. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
In the iOS app, payment is processed by Apple through your Apple ID, and Apple's terms govern the transaction:
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID is charged at confirmation of purchase, and again within 24 hours of the end of each period.
- Manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple, not by us.
Prices are shown before you confirm a purchase. If we change the price of a plan, we will tell you before it applies to you.
Downgrades and what happens to your codes
Plans differ in how many QR codes you may have and how long we keep scan history. If you downgrade or cancel, codes over the new limit stop resolving and scan history beyond the new retention window is no longer available. Your codes themselves are not deleted while your account is open.
Deleting your account
You may delete your account at any time from Manage → Delete account. When you do, your QR codes stop resolving immediately — anything already printed will no longer work. Please make sure that is what you want before deleting.
Availability
We work to keep QRMapper and its short links running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features; if we remove something you rely on, we will give you reasonable notice.
Liability
QRMapper is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss arising from a code being unreachable or pointing somewhere you did not intend. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify account holders by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use QRMapper after that means you accept the new terms.
